What Christadelphians Believe

Who are the Christadelphians?

The word “Christadelphian” is a Greek word meaning “brothers and sisters in Christ”

Therefore Christadelphians are brothers and sisters in Christ. We firmly believe that Jesus will return from heaven soon to set up God’s Kingdom on earth. He will bring peace, security, health and the end to all suffering. We try our very best now to live lives that Jesus is happy with.

Christadelphians believe that:

* God told the Bible writters what to write in the Bible

* There is only one God

* Jesus Christ is God’s only Son

* People can only be saved by accepting Jesus

* Jesus’ mother was Mary, he was born by the power of God

* Jesus lived a sinless life, he sacrificed his own life by being killed on the cross, in obedience to His Father’s will, he rose from the dead by the power of God, ascended to heaven, and will return personally to the Earth and establish God’s Kingdom.

* At his return, Jesus will raise the dead and reward those who have pleased him by giving them eternal life.

* Adult baptism, preceded by repentance and belief in Jesus as Saviour, and followed by a life where a Christian trys their very best to follow Jesus’ teachings, is essential for salvation.
